What you need to know as a patient with Mindoc.

Billing & Fees

Our fees are kept close to the Medicare schedule fee to reduce your out of pocket expenses.
For eg: Initial consultations cost $400. Your out of pocket could be as little as $3.2.
Follow-up consultations are calculated as blocks (multiples) of 15min, every 15min=$75.
All consultations are billed privately on the day and your medicare rebate claim will be transmitted instantly via our practice software. Your rebate will be paid back to you by medicare, usually within 24-48 hours.
All psychiatric consultations are eligible for medicare rebate, extended medicare safety net may reduce the gap fee for those who are having ongoing sessions in a calendar year. For details, click on the link below.

Psychiatric reports are billed separately. The fee for these reports would depend on its nature and complexity.

Payment

Full payment is expected on the day of your consultation. You can pay it using your credit card or use bank transfer or cash. At Mindoc, our medical receptionist will be able to claim your Medicare Rebate straight after the payment is made. Your rebate will go to your nominated bank account with medicare within 24-48 hours.

Cancellation Policy

We would appreciate as much notice as possible, if you need to reschedule or cancel your appointment with Mindoc. Consultations time are often high in demand. Cancellations made less than 24 hours in advance may result in a non-rebatable fee of $100.00.

Translating Services

Here at Mindoc, we are a diverse practice which accept and take into consideration all different nationalities and cultural backgrounds. We offer a free on-site interpreting system for any languages, for those who have English as their second language, or find it difficult to understand English well. If you are a patient that is interested in these services, please let our Administration Staff know whilst booking an appointment at our Clinic.

Completing the Mindoc Registration Form

Help us build an accurate health record by using our registration form. You may prefer to fill it in advance or do it onsite on the day of your initial consultation.

Better Communication

Mindoc would like to keep in touch regarding your appointments and billing by sending SMS reminders and email if necessary. To enable this we need your updated contact details and your consent for us to communicate electronically.

Access to Medical Records

This requires an appointment to discuss and sometimes a written request to release information depending on the purpose and circumstances of the request.

Requests for Results

Requests for pathology or imaging results will usually require an appointment. Call us to find out what you need.

Requests for Scripts

This always requires an appointment and medical assessment. This can not be done over the phone to comply with practice standards. Please contact reception if you need SMS reminders for scripts due.
